Sirius Lookers Events
All events are weather permitting
Our members range in expertise from beginner to professional. Meetings are very informal, usually information sharing/planning and a bit of observing. Don't feel you have to have a telescope to join us for a meeting or an observing session. Our members love to share the views.
Two Trees Area is between Sedona and Cottonwood, 89A from Sedona to FR 525. FR 525 about 1/3 mile to the Y. Left at the Y to the RC Aircraft field. We set up in the field on the left before the RC field. Two Trees Map Two Trees Topo If you are planning on camping at Two Trees be sure to buy a Red Rocks Pass. I just found out that we are a mile inside the pass area. Buy the annual pass for $20 in case you plan on using the site more often.
Club star parties to Stoneman Lake Area are when we can arrange them. Stoneman Topo Map You may need a club member to find it the first time! The dirt road is one mile west of Lake Mary Road on Stoneman Lake Road, north about 2 miles to a large open field. I usually post signs on trees for people to follow.
I'm sure we will continue to do things with the Coconino Club. They meet at Lowell Obs. Steele Visitor Center 6pm. We are talking about joining them for some observing sessions. CAS
